Description
The Middle Georgia Railroad Association is a non-profit organization that focuses on railroad history, modeling, and railfanning in the Middle Georgia area. We welcome all members regardless of of gender, religion, or race. The MGRA meets in the restored Central of Georgia Depot in Gordon, Georgia. Membership in the Association costs $20 per year. Members recieve the Middle Georgia Flyer- the MGRA's monthly newsletter, invitations to all MGRA sponsored events, and most importantly, fellowship with other railroad enthuaists. Each month the MGRA has a presentation on a railroading topic by a guest speaker. Programs range from modeling clinics and prototype information to historical videos and lectures. Other trips are scheduled throughout the year such as visits to railroad facilities or historical locations. The MGRA meets on the third Monday of each month in the Gordon Depot at 7:00pm. Meetings consist of news, refreshments and fellowship, followed by the main presentation of the evening. Most meetings conclude around 9:00.
