Description
Founded by and for folks who are currently running or who are thinking about building layouts using any of the various systems to electrically power their trains via the rails their Large Scale Trains run on - whether indoors or outdoors.

We do not "promote" track power over other options such as battery or live steam power. All systems have advantages and disadvantages. Some of us run battery powered and live steam powered trains occasionally on our layouts as well as our track powered trains.

We prefer the various track powered systems for ourselves and as a result we are willing and able to share what we have learned with others who are also interested in powered rail operations.

Anyone who is interested in running any variety of track powered trains is welcome to join us.

All brands and systems are welcome. We run LGB, Aristo-Craft, USA, Bachmann and several other brands and we run them on straight analog track power (as they come from the factory) plus we run with LGB's MTS or generic DCC plus MTH's DCS and anything else that anyone comes up with.

If you do not currently have a train or a layout we also have trains and remotes that visitors are welcome to use.

Visitors are not limited to official meeting and run days. If you will be in the area you are welcome to phone ahead and confirm when one or more of our layouts will up and running. The more notice we have that you are coming the better we can assure that there will be trains available to run.

Folks to not have to live nearby to participate. Anyone who is also running their layouts with various forms of track power located anywhere in Arkansas or in nearby states are encouraged to contact us so that we can share information of what is happening with other track powered Garden Railroaders.

We are not an organized club and we have no membership fees or other expenses other than incidental expenses that may result from occasional cookouts etc.
