Description
The ACTMRS Inc. is based in the grounds of and afiliated with the Australian Railways Historical Society (ACT Division) museum, at Kingston. Our membership is open to modellers of all prototypes, scales, gauges and ages. We encourage family involvement, with spouses and children actively participating in our modelling activities. We have a HO / HOe layout in a restored 75ft parcel van at the museum, which is open to the public from 1pm on the last Sunday of each month.

Members are also active on the exhibition circuit. The Society has 3 exhibition layouts: -

"12th Street Yard" is an award winning HO scale layout based on an eastern US city scene;

"Little Austria" is an HOe layout featuring a coal mining operation, with the line running through European country and village scenes until reaching a harbourside yard with transfer facilities to a bulk freighter.

Our third layout, currently under construction is "Yendys" an HO scale Australian layout based on suburban western Sydney. It features overhead wires, a carriage yard / workshop, and freight operations serving a number of industries.
