Description
The FYRG is an organization dedicated to the restoration and operation of the 1935 streamliner, the Flying Yankee, a Boston Maine/Maine Central articulated three car train located in a storage facility at the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln, NH. The fund raising goal for completion of the restoration is $3.2 MM with a goal of being operational in New Hampshire in 2010. Info at www.flyingyankee.com or 1-603-745-3974.....Currently the train is about 35% complete with the rebuilt truck frames being delivered 2/15/08......the organization operates a series of open houses in the summer/fall for enthusiasts to tour the train.
