Description
Texas Rail Advocates is 501-c3, organized in 2000 to promote freight and passenger rail transportation in Texas and the Southwest.

"Our mission is to accelerate Texas' economic growth and enhance the quality of life enjoyed by its people by advancing the development of rail service to its full potential as a carrier of freight and passengers."

Working in conjunction with the Class 1s, Texas Shortlines and Regionals, TxDOT, Council of Governments and other groups, we are bringing Higher Performance rail to Texas via education, information and public outreach. TRA hosts the annual Southwestern Rail Conference each January. We invite you to view our website and join us to promote rail's many benefits.
